Scanner settings, like the ability to scan double-sided or in color, are not controlled or included in Traverse itself and need to be set up via the scanner.

Scanner settings can be configured manually using Twacker on the computer (see Configuring scanner settings), or they can be set by importing a settings configuration file (PAV file) on the computer using the instructions below. Using a settings configuration file (PAV file) can reduce manual configuration of the scanner.

Before you begin, you should have completed Section 1 and Section 2 of Setting up scanners.

  1. Click this link to download the TraverseScanningProfile.zip file.

  2. Open your computer's file explorer and go to your browser's file download location, probably within your Downloads folder (i.e., C:\Users\{username}\Downloads\).

  3. Right click the downloaded ZIP file and choose Extract All...

The Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders window appears.

  4. Keep the folder location the same and check the box to Show extracted files when complete.

  5. Click Extract.

    The extracted folder appears.

  6. In the folder, open the PAV file titled Traverse.

The Scanning Profile Importer (TWAIN) app appears.

  7. Keep the radio button to Replace all profiles selected and click Import.
โ€‹Note that if you have an older driver version installed, you'll receive a warning in the importer, but you'll be able to proceed.
    A success message appears.

  8. Click OK to finish the import.
