The instructions below will guide you through downloading, installing, and configuring signature pad settings so users can create signatures within Traverse web using a Topaz signature pad.
These instructions must be completed for every machine that will be using a signature pad to draw signatures in web.
Downloading, configuring and installing the SigWeb driver
Download the Topaz SigWeb driver installer, available here.
Open the EXE file. If prompted, allow the installer to make changes to your computer.
The SigWeb Setup Wizard opens to the Welcome screen.
Click Next.
The License Agreement screen appears.
Select the license acceptance button.
Click Next.
The Tablet Configuration screen opens.
Input the signature pad's model using the drop downs.
You can usually locate the model information on the back of the signature pad device.
Select the Prefix (a combination of letters and hyphens)
Select the Model Series (may include both numbers and letters)
Select the Suffix (a combination of letters and hyphens)
Please note the provided example on this screen to assist in determining each component of the model information.
Optional: To Disable Pop-Up Messages, you can check the Disable Messages box.
Click Next.
The Certificate Checker Configurations screen appears.
Optional: check box to Notify Users of Expiring Certificate.
Click Next.
The Installation Folder window screen appears.
Choose where SigWeb will be installed.
Click Next.
The Verify Ready to Install screen opens.
Click Install to begin the installation.
After successfully installing, the Setup Complete screen appears.
Click Finish to exit the Setup Wizard.
Connecting and using the signature pad
After installing the SigWeb driver, you'll simply plug the the signature pad device into your Windows machine.
*If your signature pad model changes, the SigWeb driver will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled using your new device's model information.
Adding a signature with a signature pad
Connect the signature pad device to your machine.
Click +Add signature on a form.
The Add signature window opens.
Using external signature pad will appear below the signature box when the signature pad is successfully connected.
Sign using the signature pad device.
Click Apply to save the signature to the form.
*To use your mouse to draw a signature, simply unplug the signature pad device from your machine then click +Add signature. Reconnect the signature pad and click +Add signature to draw a signature with the signature pad again.
