Content is simply a piece of information, like a note or document, saved in Traverse. There are several actions you can take when you open a content item.

How to open the content item window

  1. On the user, case, person, or organization overview page, click the Content tab or click View finished content above a finished content panel.

  2. Click the content item you want to view from the Finished section.

    The content item opens.

What you can do from the content item window

  • Use the Enhanced, Text, and Original buttons to view the enhanced (higher-quality, Traverse-processed) version, the plain text/transcription* version, or the original (lower-quality, user-submitted) version.

The download button will change to download any version you select. If there's an issue with your content, you can download the original version. Additionally, buttons to zoom in/out and show/hide image labels may appear for original images.
*Audio/video files with a duration of more than 14,400 hours or less than 0.0005 seconds will not be transcribed.

  • Redact information from the content item by clicking Redact. (You'll need to have permission to redact content.) For instructions, see Redacting a content item.

    • An additional toolbar on documents lets you view thumbnails of the pages, view any annotations/captions from mobile, jump to a page, zoom in and out, fit the pages to the window, search for text on the original image, and print.

    • If you need to export content items with annotations/captions from mobile, click the export button on the far right of this toolbar. If you don't want to include the annotations/captions from mobile in the export, click the Download button outside this toolbar.

  • Add the content item to your board by clicking Add to my board. For more information, see Adding items to your board in the web app.

  • Change the content date (the date associated with the content item) or the content type by clicking Edit properties.

  • Route this content item to a worker by clicking Create a work item. For more information, see All about work items.

  • Add or change the comment on the content item in the Comment section.

  • Change the cases, people, or organizations connected to the content item by clicking the pencil icon in the Connections section. If you added the content item to the wrong case/person/organization, you can just change the connection with the pencil icon, so there's no need to delete it and start over.

  • View work items that have been created for this content item by clicking View created work items.

  • Delete the content item by clicking Delete content item. If you don't see this button, you may not have permission to delete a content item.

Caution! If you delete a content item, any work items created from the content item will also be deleted from a workspace.

To navigate to content items in the list, use the Next and Previous buttons in the top right of the window. The navigation respects any filter you set, so if you filter down the content list from 25 to five, you can go forward and back within those five content items.

Tip: Copying and pasting text onto a new form

If you want to reuse text from a completed form, you can use the Text button to copy what Traverse has extracted and paste it onto the new form.

You can also click the Copy & create a new form button to start a new form with the finished form's information. On the new in-progress form, signatures will be removed and locked fields will be unlocked. See Adding and completing a form for more information.

Tip: Printing content with annotations/captions from mobile

  1. From the Enhanced tab of the content item you wish to print, click the export button on the far right of the white toolbar above the content item.

  2. Open the content item from the Downloads folder on your computer.
    Adobe Acrobat opens.

  3. Click the Print file icon in Adobe Acrobat or Ctrl+P on your keyboard.
    The print window appears.

  4. Under Comments & Forms, click Summarize Comments.

  5. In the popup that appears, click Yes.

  6. Click Print.

A Summary of Comments page appears after the printed content item with the annotation(s)/caption(s) from mobile and timestamp(s).
