Those yellow bars indicate when new content is added to your assigned cases by another worker.

When new content is added to your assigned cases by another worker, a yellow bar will appear on the left side of the case/person/organization on the My Cases screen and the related content item. You'll also see an exclamation point icon; that just means new content exists.

You won't see yellow bars for content that you add to a case, or for cases for which you aren't an assigned worker. Plus, if your agency has content type access configured by group, someone could add content to a case whose content type you cannot see. You would not see a yellow bar in this scenario. You can clear the yellow bars from the case, person, or organization overview screen. Simply tap the content item, or tap the ellipsis button and select an option.
